Michael wins Department Chili Cookoff

The Blank lab's own Michael Hodny won this years department of chemistry's chili cook off in the people's choice category. This event is organized by Laura Seifert and Lisa Jahr and raises money for the Nutritious "U" Pantry here on campus. Congratulations to Michael for his excellent chili cooking!

Meghan Knudtzon wins DOE Award

Congratulations to graduate student Meghan Knudtzon for winning the DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program Award. With this award she will take her studies on ionic liquids to Brookhaven National Lab under the supervision of James Wishart. 

Michael Hodny Named Head TA

Michael Hodny has been named Head TA for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Through his hard work teaching, Michael has shown great promise as a TA for courses and has now been promoted to this valued position of Head TA. Congratulations Michael!

Graduate Student Rachel Swedin wins Excellence Fellowship

Rachel Swedin Wins Paul and Gerda Gassman Award

Rachel Swedin won the Paul and Gerda Gassman Award on June 4th, 2019. This award is a result of presentations on research to the department from graduate students completing their third year of graduate school here in the Department of Chemistry. Congratulations Rachel!
